Digital Panoramic X-Rays
Dr. Marx uses digital panoramic X-rays. Meaning that there is no film or development included in the dental procedure. The X-ray beams are converted through a signal to a computer which shows the image on the computer screen.
Panoramic X-rays (PAN) provide a broad view of the jaws, teeth, sinuses, nasal area, and TM joints. These X-rays do not show the detail needed to detect cavities. These X-rays rather reveal problems such as impacted teeth, bone abnormalities, cysts, solid growths (tumours), infections, and fractures. Panoramic X-rays thus provide a good overall view of the patient’s dental status.
