What will happen during my first consultation?
Dr Marx will start by taking a 3D X-ray photo and will discuss a treatment plan with you. Different treatment options will be discussed and you will receive a personalized treatment plan. You will also receive a quotation for the treatment plan that Dr Marx suggests.
Does your practice accept medical aid?
Patients pay directly after treatment, and we will give you a statement that you can submit to your medical aid for reimbursement.
Will the treatment be done in our practice or in hospital/theater?
All dental treatments are done in the comfort of one of our world-class practices.
How long will the procedure take?
Dr Marx only uses the best technology and methods to treat his patients and has his own in-house laboratory. A Full mouth reconstruction can be done in just one appointment.
Do I really need to floss?
There’s no getting around the need to get around your teeth daily with dental floss. It clears food and plaque from between teeth and under the gumline. If you don’t, plaque hardens into tartar, which forms wedges and widens the space between teeth and gums, causing pockets. Over time, gums pull away and teeth loosen.
How can I replace a missing tooth?
Missing teeth can be replaced by placing a dental implant if the patient has enough quality bone. Alternatively, Dr Marx can manufacture a bridge to close the gap.
